ERP consultant in Ireland

We help Irish SMEs choose, implement and support ERP systems that fit how they actually work, from a readiness review through to go-live and beyond.

What we do

Joyce Software is a Galway-based ERP consultancy for small and medium businesses across Ireland. We map your processes, recommend the right ERP platform and modules, implement and integrate it with your accounts, POS and online store, train your team and support you after go-live.

Why work with an ERP consultant who has built the software

Most ERP consultants configure other people's products. Dave Joyce has been writing inventory, point-of-sale and ERP software since 2006, for retailers such as BWG Foods, Gala and BP and as the creator of Turbo Inventory. That means we understand what happens underneath the screens, and we can build the missing piece when a system doesn't quite fit.

  • Local knowledge: we understand Irish business and regulatory requirements.
  • Practical implementations: for finance, manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, retail and services.
  • Measurable outcomes: lower costs, higher productivity and faster reporting.

Our ERP services

Assessment and strategy

We start with an ERP readiness assessment: business process mapping, a review of your current systems, and conversations with the people who will use the new one. You get a clear roadmap that fits your goals and budget, and an honest recommendation on the right platform and modules. There is no one-size-fits-all answer.

Implementation and integration

We configure and customise the system to match your workflows and manage the full implementation, keeping disruption to a minimum. We connect it to your accounts, POS and online store, and build custom applications in-house where a gap needs filling.

Change management and training

ERP projects succeed when people change with the processes. We run role-based training and hands-on support so your team adopts the system quickly, with minimal downtime.

Ongoing support and maintenance

After go-live we provide support, updates, performance tuning and periodic reviews, so the system stays secure and keeps up with the business.

Industries we work with

We work with SMEs and larger organisations in manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, retail, plant and equipment hire, and professional services. We adapt ERP best practice to your sector so you see a return sooner.

Frequently asked questions

What does an ERP consultant do?

An ERP consultant helps you decide whether you need ERP, chooses the right system and modules, maps your business processes onto it, manages the implementation and data migration, trains your staff and supports the system afterwards. The aim is a system your team actually uses, not just one that is installed.

How much does ERP implementation cost for a small business in Ireland?

Cost depends on the number of users, the modules you need, the integrations and how much data has to move across. After a free 30-minute review we give you a written plan with a fixed quote, so you know the full cost before any work starts.

How long does an ERP implementation take?

Timelines depend on scope. Inventory and order setups are quicker than projects that add manufacturing, several locations or custom integrations. Your written plan sets out the timeline, and we phase the work so your team gets value early instead of waiting for one big launch.

Do I need a full ERP system or just inventory software?

If your main problems are stock accuracy, purchasing and orders, inventory software linked to your accounts is often enough. You need ERP when several departments (sales, purchasing, warehouse, manufacturing, finance) work from the same data and spreadsheets are holding them together. In the free review we tell you which one you need, even if it's the smaller option.

Is my business too small for inventory or ERP software?

Usually not. If you hold stock, re-key orders between systems or spend days on stock takes, you'll benefit. Dave built Turbo Inventory specifically because SMEs were being told they were too small for proper inventory software.

Will it work with our accounts package and online store?

Integration is a core part of what we do. We connect ERP and inventory systems to accounting software, to nopCommerce and other online stores, and to POS systems, so data is entered once. Tell us what you use in the free review and we'll confirm how it connects.

Can you move us off spreadsheets without disrupting the business?

Yes. We map your current processes first, migrate and check your data, and train your team before switching over. Where it helps, we run the old and new systems side by side for a short period.

What happens after go-live?

We provide ongoing support, updates, performance tuning and periodic reviews. You deal directly with the people who built your system, not a ticket queue.

Do you work outside Galway?

Yes. We're based in Mervue, Galway, and work with businesses across Ireland, with most of the work done remotely.
